Mental health speak:

'90% percent of public mental health clients have been exposed to multiple physical or sexual abuse traumas.'

Human Rights Translation:

90% percent of those the mental health system is labeling crazy have been repeatedly beaten, raped or otherwise severely violated

Mental health speak:

'Importantly, intergenerational transmission that perpetuates adverse childhood experiences will continue without implementation of interventions to interrupt the cycle.

Human Rights Translation:

People who can't access the basic resources that all of us need to feel well, live well and be well get stuck in a vicious cycle they can't get out of.  So do their kids.

Mental health speak:

'Multiple studies reveal the origin of many mental health disorders may be found in childhood trauma’

Human Rights Translation:

Mental health professionals are labeling traumatized people crazy.  They have no clue they are doing this and are doing nothing systemically to fix it.
